Shoey
Hi all I have a block with attribute. The attribute has had a field assigned to it that has a formula. The formula is the 'X' coord '+' the value of the 'X' coord of the INSBASE variable. This gives the value we want at a named user defined UCS and not WCS. However, when we plot in PAPER SPACE through a viewport, the formula field value for the user UCS are shown correctly through the viewport but when you preview or plot, they are not the user UCS values. Instead, they are the values of the WCS 'X' coordinates. If we preview or plot in MODEL SPACE, the formula field values are correct. To overcome the PAPER SPACE plot issue, we turn of the PLOT option update of the FIELDEVAL option. This does plot the values correctly. I suppose because it isnt regenerating the field value ? I would like to know if this is normal AutoCAD behaviour? Why would the formula field value plot ok in Model and not in Paper ? Many thanks
