Dimension won`t work on older full drawing?

What do you mean "once they fill up"?

 

What version were the "older" drawings created in?

 

What happens if you create a new drawing and it "fills up"? Does the Dimension command still continue to function normally?

 

Attach a copy of one of these older drawings to your next post so we can run our own test on them.

Ok I`ll try this from My AutoCAD 2005.

You need to reset your UCS. Type UCS at the command line and change to "World". Then you will be able to place dimensions again.

 

By the way, why did you post in the 3D section when this is a 2D drawing?
