Default ...create a button for a command?

I would like to create a toolbar-button for the "plan"-command. I can't find this command in the command list, and so I can't simply create a button for it. Any tips?
If at first you don't succeed - remove all evidence you ever tried.

yes you can go to the following from the main menu:
Tools -> customize -> toolbars -> the commands tab, then scroll down to the user defined item and highlight it, then up to the box on the right you will see two items, 1) user defined button, and 2) user defined flyout.
If you want a button, click on the user defined button and drag it to your acad main window. Hey presto you created a button.
now click on the button itself to access its properties, or click on the button properties tab...
you can create your on button image here or assign a macro to the button, you can assign lisp files, autovad vba macros, whatever your looking for..you can use the "load" command to load your macro when you want to execute it.
I save my button images and macros where the acad.exe file is, it seems to run no problem there when i start up autocad.

you can then save the profile so everytime you run autocad, your buttons always come up...you can create flyouts in the same way and also multiple buttons with your assigned macros on one toolbar.

    Hope this gets you started.

If you get some more background on using CUI (typed into the command line) = Custom User Interface, You can not only make your own buttons, but you can make buttons that execute more than one command at a time.

I say this with caution because more powerful tools = more potentially dangerous errors. So be careful.

But with that said I built buttons that will -> zoom, extents, qsave, then close my drawing.

It allows me to make one click instead of punching away at the keyboard.

It also allows me to accidently -> zoom, extents, qsave, and close a drawing that I meant to save without changing.....(see above).

Fortunatley I never work on origonal drawing (always a work on back-up).

This is just a snippet of what's possible - you are standing at the gateway to becoming a faster and efficient drafter (sshh, don't tell your boss, LOL !!). Now you'll have more time to drink coffee...
