Can someone explain how to enable Transparency on my Autocad 2010. I am trying to make a watermark on the drawing with around 60% Transparency. There is no Transparency option in the Layer Manager tab.

Any ideas?

You can edit a .ctb or .stb plot style with the push of a button. I'm sure you've seen it when plotting a drawing in the plot dialog window.

I see no reason to use an x-ref but it is entirely up to you.

if the "text" of the watermark is fixed and you dont need to edit...

create the text in bold font, explode it using express tools, set the lines to defpoints and hatch it with a solid hatch and set the transparency of that hatch...
