I found some good starting images looking at .svg and .dxf files that people use with scrap booking cutters. something like http://www.misskatecuttables.com/ there are some good vector images out there already. You do have to be careful of copyright though. Im not sure what the licensing (if any) is needed for larger scale use of these things.
