MeGuinness
I have started using AutoCAD for about one week so be gentle with me please Im creating a Rc car chassis ,I used a combinations of lines and polylines arc's and circle for the screws holes ..... I joined the lines all by converting the lines to polylines and using the JOIN command. I then switched to 3d for the extrude part....and gave a thickness of 5mm .. Â My question is how do I get to show as a solid image without all the lines ? Thanx
JD Mather
Looks like a surface body, not a solid body. Attach your *.dwg file here and end all doubt. Â Once you get a solid body - the command you are looking for is shademode.
CC6614
It appears that your main body isn't a closed loop. You could go back before the extrude and try the region command. If that fails you know you don't have a closed loop. Your holes extruded correctly from what I can tell.
Cad64
Extruding lines and polylines creates Surfaces. You should use the Presspull command to create Solids. https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=autocad+presspull
ReMark
When extruding lines, arcs and polylines in a closed shape using the PressPull command will result in a solid.
