tzframpton
Is there an option to always include some or all Property Sets to the AEC Objects as you are modeling them? Thanks in advance. -TZ
KeithBrown
Options->AEC Object Settings Tab. Then the AEC Property Set Definitions section in the lower left. Check to automatically attach all property sets to objects as they are inserted. DISCLAIMER: If the property set definition applies to an object it will always get attached to it. This could not always be the best scenario.
tzframpton
Thanks Keith. Do you have an example where it wouldn't be desired?
KeithBrown
The EastCoast software uses style based property sets to report data about the duct. They attach an override property set to a duct object if the user wants to override this data. Maybe not the best scenario but this is how it works. The override property sets should only be attached to a duct object if the style based properties have been overriden. You can see the problem. Auto attaching all property sets in all instances in this case causes an issue with reporting.
