If you are thinking about buying an older version of an AutoDesk product it may be in your best interest to reconsider. There is no guarantee the software will actually work nor are you guaranteed an authorization code from AutoDesk. Additionally, some of these offerings contain malware or viruses (or both) that you may not know of until it is too late. Some pieces of software don't even install or install incompletely. The seller has your money and you have......squat. Are you willing to take the risk?

What program(s) are you interested in?

Do you know AutoDesk now rents software on a monthly basis?

Do you know there are a couple of free CAD programs available and several low cost CAD programs (AutoCAD clones) as well?

1. I doubt this seller is legal, but if it is, why would it have the problems you mentioned?

2. Do software makers not allow sales/installations of old software?

3. I want CADs and fluid dynamics/mechanics analysers

Yes

5. I want used/old software that was expensive in its original price, because corporations use them.

Thanks

You can't buy older, non current copies of full AutoCAD. Even places like Amazon have been forced to stop selling older copies. That is the clear sign that it is not legit. No way you get AutoCAD 2016 for $399.95.

This seller says it has them:

http://www.cadsell.com/autocad-c-1.html?sort=3a&page=1

1. They say they are in New York state and they look more reliable than http://trddhzcxhhoofatn.depotapps.com/

because trddhzcxhhoofatn

2. Their prices of cadsell are higher.

1. Why would the software have problems? Because it was illegally obtained in the first place. Because the seller wants to deliver an extra payload to your computer so he can use it for a denial of service attack, steal your personal information or to install ransom-ware on your computer so he can then demand a payment before unlocking all your valuable files.

2. Do software makers not allow sales/installations of old software? AutoDesk for sure doesn't. I'm sure Adobe and Microsoft don't either.

Software is not expensive because corporations use them. Where in the world did you read or hear of that?

OK...call CADSELL and ask them if they have a 100% money-back guarantee no questions asked. Get it in writing too while you're at it. Maybe your lawyer can use it in court when you try suing them.

Better yet, buy the software and install it. Then try getting a valid activation code from AutoDesk and see what happens. Good luck with that.

If it was illegally obtained in the first place, then yes.

trddhzcxhhoofatn looks suspicious.

But because CADSELL has AutoCAD LT 2015 for 3 times the price in trddhzcxhhoofatn , then this makes me almost sure they are illegal.

However, there are websites offering expensive pirated software for much less than $50. Why would an illegal user choose a much more expensive illegal option?

I meant corporations use expensive software, and I want to learn using them.

I will do that if I decide on one of their products.

I can't wait to hear how happy you were with your purchase.

BTW...CADTutor does NOT condone the use of illegal (i.e. - pirated) software. If you end up buying such software and run into problems you'll find no help here nor any sympathy.

I am still thinking which software to buy. It might not be one of their products.

Thanks

Sorry Mechaniker, they are selling older copies of full AutoCAD. This is not allowed by authorized re-sellers. They can only sell current copies. This is illegal and pirated software. Don't do it. It's not worth the potential hassle. What software are you looking for or what are you trying to get done? Maybe we can find or suggest a more legal alternative ;)

Mechaniker is a man on a mission and I doubt anything we say is going to make him rethink his decision because all he sees is a low price. In this instance the phrase Caveat Emptor is entirely appropriate.

There's certainly nothing stopping you from ordering from either site. Just know you potentially will be faced with these realities:

1. trddhzcxhhoofatn.depotapps is an obvious scam so you may not get the software, or if you get the software it'll have a keygen/crack associated with it which threatens you when the serial calls for authorization from Autodesk's servers or they may confiscate your card info.

2. Autodesk is a leader in stopping piracy. Autodesk is a co-founder of the BSA. I've even received hand signed letters when I've had more installs than I should with their software in the past, with a followup phone call. They don't play around. Info here:

http://www.autodesk.com/company/license-compliance/frequently-asked-questions

3. It's unfair to your customers if you're charging full price. That's like going to a retail store, buying a TV for $500 and they bought it stolen for $5 making $495 profit, when other retailers buy from the manufacturer for $400 making $100 profit legitimately.

You can certainly do it, just make sure you understand all the risks. Software is pirated, bought and used all the time. This is nothing new. But there's no risk in buying legal software. The only option that you could take (depending on your location) would be a local buy/sell/trade market, such as Craigslist or local social media groups. I see software that is pretty old being sold and bought like that quite often, but it is original and authentic. Technically, this is illegal, but... Autodesk can't at all enforce such a thing so it's not really an issue at all. You have to go back pretty far before you get away from Autodesk licenses "calling home" to servers.

This forum doesn't condone this type of thing so it may get locked and deleted entirely, which it probably should. If you charged for a project and only received 10% of your costs, you would so much like it I would assume, so why do it to someone else? Especially when there's free and very low cost clones out there for the same price if not less.

My $0.02 worth. :)

r2004 (iirc) is the last version not to "call home" to register.

Mechaniker, if you are looking for low cost 2D CAD have a look at Draftsight. They have a free version as well as a Professional version ($99 at the moment). It is pretty much a copy of older versions of LT. Keyboard commands and all.

If you are a start up company and are looking for a 3D mechanical product then take a look at AutoDesk Fusion 360. It is free for start ups and small businesses that make less than $100K revenue a year.

Don't give these guys your money for illegal software, don't lose your money either with a scam. Good luck sir :)

You will notice, in all of those sites you posted links to, not only are they selling old versions of Autocad, they are also selling the 2016 version at an extremely low price. None of those sites are legit and you should stay away from them. You can only purchase software legally through the company or an authorized reseller.

I understand. I will not buy from them.

I want mainly CADs like solidworks etc

I saw the replies by other members that state some alternatives.

Thanks
