Script to select objects only works as a Copy and Paste

I wrote a simple script that selects an object based off its coordinates.

It works just fine when I simply copy the script and paste it into the command line. However when I run it as a script it asks me to specify opposite corner.

A follow up question is after that I have copyclip:

39.31814,1.4625,0

copyclip

pasteclip

37.80374,1.97425,0

However the dialog to select objects doesn't end. I have tried spaces and indents but it wont move on to copyclip.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You need to read up on W CP WP F window, crossing-polygon, within-polygon, fence, you have 3 xyz need only 2
