Constraints for a tie rod end to produce rotational movement on an assembly?

Hello everyone, I am new to the forum. I bet i will be on hear quite a bit from now on since i am in school for Mechanical Engineering Technology.

Anyways,

At the moment i am designing a steering assembly for a go-kart, its going to use tie rod ends. I currently have the tie rod ends designed, now when i constrain the ball part to the outer part of the tie rod end, it produces the movement i want it swivels around the ball. when i constrain this mini assembly to the spindle (where the wheels would turn) the degrees of freedom is completely gone in every direction. I cant move the tie rod end at all. and i would like it to be moveable so that i can line it up with the other tie rod end on the steering shaft...

How can i give this part the movement i want to give it?

Thanks !

-Ryan

i have the ball part of the tie rod end inserted to the other hole. And the joint ball command between the outer ball holder and ball. But it is locked solid and does not move at all.

In the end i would like to make the whole steering assembly moveable in inventor.
