ACAD.PGP won't load

Hi There,

We have recently had a change with our servers resulting in changed network paths etc. On the surface all seemed to go well redirecting acad to look in the new network locations for customisation files etc.

My problem now however is seemingly unrelated, or is it?

I have no command aliases loaded, none. If I reload my acad.pgp, using ALIASEDIT, the dialog box loads up all the aliases and it all looks good then when I save and close, acad tells me that the changes have been applied to my current session, so far so good.

Try to issue a command eg, PL for PolyLine, and I get a plot dialog:(. run ALIASEDIT again and the list is empty again. It seems the aliases just don't stick.

Any suggestions?

My thoughts too but do you think i can find the root cause??

I had ACAD 2013 still installed on my machine and that worked fine so I have uninstalled 2014 for now and am using 2013. We're getting 2017 soon so hopefully I can do a clean upgrade from 2013 to 2017 and it should all work

Make sure in yor support paths you move server locations to the top so it finds them 1st. Are you editing acad.pgp or out of the box ? Its default location should be already mapped.

AutoCAD will load the first "acad.pgp" it finds (if any), based on the order of the support file search path.

To find out which one this is, copy and paste the following to the command line. What does it return?

(findfile "acad.pgp")
