Andrew1979
This is something I have never seen before or know how to fix. A program I have run has be installed countless times on many different computers and versions on AutoCAD all over Australia and I have never seen this error: When the user tries to run the program, they get: error: Automation Error. The system cannot locate the resource specified. This program is run from a Menu in AutoCAD 2014. Then menu calls the .vlx file then runs the command. This isn't happening. This is what I have tried so far and I am stumped what to do now: Put the .vlx file in the startup suite (same error - restarted AutoCAD) Made sure the folder that has the files is in the Support File Search path Made sure the permissions on the folder in question enables FULL control Changed SECURELOAD to 0 to test (still doesn't work) I don't know what else to do. Any thoughts? Could it be a bad AutoCAD install and need to repair?

Andrew1979
Thanks for the idea, I tried that, but still not working and getting error. I wonder if its AutoCAD setting or a Windows issue. I have advised the person to either do a repair or reinstall of AutoCAD. Otherwise I am out of ideas.
pkenewell
Was the original VLX installed from a installation script? The Error message indicates to me that the program is looking for an external file or other kind of resource to reference, but cannot find it. Is the user in question missing a config file or registry keys used by the program?
