smoothing lines

The problem i have is, i programme laser/cnc machines to cut steel, i have recieved a logo on cad drawing that i need to programme but the lines are plines and the machine cannot handle that much information (too many points on the line) to cut a polyline, the line needs to be smoothed, ive tried a few things from previous posts but nothing seems to solve the problem. ANY ideas are appreciated.

What have you tried? Did you try a "weeding" lisp routine that reduces number of vertices? (This has been discussed a few time at this site, try searching).

i have often pund the only way to sort this out properly is to redraw the line using arcs and not plines,

You use plotting style Bycolor?
