Difference between Imperial Template and Imperial Template Annotative

I am curious and want to know weather there is an advantage in using the annotative template.

If you are going to use annotative scaling for objects such as text, dimensions, blocks, multileaders, and hatches then I suppose the annotative template might be preferable. Do you utilize the annotative scaling feature?

You do realize there is no hard and fast rule that says you have to use annotative scaling don't you?

I use AutoCAD at work and there are already annotative scales saved for me to use, but I was just wondering for my own knowledge.

I use annotative scaling for my drawings to show what different settings are for certain objects. Since I design fire alarm systems I have to show the size of an area that is being protected but I need my text to be readable at different scales because my blocks are in model space so I use annotative text for my blocks. There is a learning curve to using annotative scales but once you figure it out they can be really helpful.
