Rendering

Can anyone give me an opinion on a rendering software for pdfs created from a AutoCAD drawing? Please include ease of use and learning curve as well as expense if you have that knowledge.

Thank You!

Do you have an example of what you are trying to render?

I would say that Photoshop should would work for that, IIRC, starting with CS6 3D functionality was part of Photoshop Extended.

The pdfs would be 2D landscape and site plans.

Like I mentioned, any image editing software can be used to color 2D site plans. They all work basically the same way, it's just that some have more features than others. I have always used Photoshop, and in my opinion, it is the best and most full featured image editing program available, but it is also the most expensive.

There are other programs like Corel Painter and Gimp, but as far as I know, they cannot open pdf files, so you would have to convert your pdf's to jpg or tif or some other format in order to open them.
