bustr
I have tried stretch some of the corners of a polyline to create diagonal sides. Autocad is not letting me do this. What setting needs to be changed to allow autocad to function normally?
OMEGA-ThundeR
Grid snap? F9
bustr
Nope! Has no effect. I grab one of the corner grips and pull it and the whole side comes with it.
ReMark
I think you picked the wrong grip. Works fine for me.
bustr
It doesn't matter which grip I pick. I can pick a mid-point or corner. The whole vertical or horizontal segment comes with it. The pline segments are locked into the horizontal and vertical axes. If I grabbed it like you did it would stretch the whole bottom horizontal segment up and create a single horizontal line. ReMark
What happens if you start a new drawing and try the same thing?
RobDraw
You may have unchecked infer constraints. You still need to remove them from existing objects. https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-turn-off-and-delete-constraints-in-AutoCAD.html
