brentbrent
Hi, but of a newbie Autocad question (I'm coming from a Solidworks background). I have a factory layout drawing that I need to do a fairly large project on, and for the life of me I cannot work out how to make it print in colour. It's a large and detailed drawing, with all the layers for machines and traffic and building all well defined and colour coded, but when I select monochrome.ctb, and even go in and change each "color" to BLACK, it still prints in colours. I've tried to find a straightforward help page on how set up colours, but only get confused by the information I find. Can anyone point me in the right direction? ReMark
Normally all one has to do is select either a monochrome.ctb or monochrome.stb. Could it be that instead of Index Colors being assigned to the different layers that True Colors were assigned instead? True Colors will plot even if a monochrome plot style is chosen. Is this a 2D or 3D drawing? It would be most helpful, to you, if you attached a copy of the drawing to your next post. That way we can take a look at it ourselves and attempt to print it in monochrome.
SLW210
Try setting the plotter to plot only in black. If you are using monchrome.ctb try switching to use monochrome.stb. See THIS As ReMark states post a .dwg and we will give it a try.
