From Cogo points to grade and cut and fill volume???

Hi I am completely new to autocad C3D, never learned it in school but now a part of my design project requires a calculated grade and cut and fill volume for the road surveyed.

I've looked and worked through some pdf tutorial and tutorial stuff on the autodesk website, but I am not sure how to apply them to mine (tried and failed).

What I have now is a series of cogo points with coordination( northern and eastern) and elevation, I have created alignment based on the points but I am not sure how to assign/tie the points elevation to my alignment so it can give me some kind of vertical profile/profile view, and allow me to get grade and cut and fill volume required for the road.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much!

This is the steps in a global sense for nearly all civil software Azure 238 look for tutorial step 3

1 create a surface model from your survey 3d points

2 Draw an alignment

3 walk down your alignment this will create a profile.

4 Assign a road shape to your profile including batters

5 Edit profile to suit

6 Two volume answers depending on software

6a Use a road volumes report

6b Compare two surfaces existing & new road design.
