There a few ways to do this. You could use one of the many google earth add-ons with Autocad. There is one free version that has been mentioned on the forums that used to work with older versions of Autocad (2008 version or so) - not sure about your platform. But this used to be able to import a given area into Autocad as a mesh object and there was an option to include the google earth imagery as a texture overlay. I haven't heard of anyone using it in a while.

In my opinion, The easiest way to get the data you're looking for is probably a more manual approach.

First start in google earth pro (which is now free). Then go to the area in question and click "File - Save Image". This will open a map dialog. There will be a drawing scale at bottom right. Another method is to draw a line of a fixed length in google earth (say 100'). Either way, you want to save the image as a jpeg. import the image as a Raster in Autocad and scale it to 100% scale using either of those two as a reference (the drawing scale at bottom right or your 100' line).

You can then trace out (with North being up) the building profile, get more accurate measurements and create a fairly decent site map if needed. Though the measurements aren't 100% accurate with this method, it will be in the ballpark.

I've used this method before for some of our safety site maps on big jobs since it requires a very detailed site map layout - job trailer locations, muster points, access points, etc...

On a side note, if you have an Autocad Subscription, I would consider Autodesk Recap.

Recap has the ability for you to model the building in 3d based on photos from outside the building. You can also use Recap files for geo-locating. If you go to youtube and type in Recap there's a cool vid about exporting the photo data as a texture overlaying a large mesh object (basically) and it will also geolocate those existing conditions for use with other features/programs.

You can even import 3d objects from DWG files into a sort of virtual reality 3d model created in Recap that shows all the existing objects on-site in 3D (assembled from on-site photographs). But words don't do it justice. The youtube vids are pretty cool.
