Create a lintype containig only " X "

Hi,

I`m trying to make a simple lintype with just " X ".

But I always end up with lines between the " X ".

I would like it to look like: " X X X X "

But i only get: "-- X --- X --- X--"!

I have tried both simple and comlex lines:

Her is one example:

*X_LINE,UTGAAR X X X X X X

A,.00001,-0.1,[" X ",STANDARD,S=3.2,U=0.0,X=-2.54,Y=-1.27],-10

My first attempt. Not too bad except for one itsy bitsy problem. Those damn dots. :lol:

This works for me.

*X_LINE,UTGAAR X X X X X X

S,.00001,-0.1,[" X ",STANDARD,S=3.2,U=0.0,X=-4.05,Y=-1.6],-10

I tried your line rkmcswain, but i still ended up with a dot/ very short line:

Old refers to my,

New refers to rkmcswain.

Maby we have different settings?

It does not work propperly for me. I still get a small dot/ very short line right after the x.

It looks much better though!

If linetypes does not work could look at placing X along a pline at even spacing and rotated sq to pline, Bit messy though as each X is text.

Numerous posts here about doing this look for Chainage.lsp as a start.
