ReMark
And the very next thing you did after receiving the message above was to search your entire hard drive for the symbol drawing using Windows Explorer or some such program, right? And the second thing you did was go to your backup files (stored on the server, or a CD, or a DVD or a flash drive) and copy the file over to your hard drive and put it in one of the folders AutoCAD would normally search, correct? BIGAL
For any one a great hard disk index finder "Everything.exe" it responds instantly to hard drive searches using full or short search criteria and wild cards. It makes a database of your file names. Forget explorer. *.dwt instant response over local and 2 remote servers.
kolkatapx
Check backup copy, it might be effective
ReMark
Check backup copy, it might be effective It is probabbly a problem with the file not being located in one of the defined "paths" that AutoCAD is searching. The file could have been moved or deleted. Or the folder the file was in might have been renamed or deleted. Searching for a .BAK file would not be the first option to explore.
