Hello anyone;

What I have to do? (I am using AutoCAD 2013 or Is there is a Lisp)

thanks

Have you tried reloading the xref via the External References palette? The status of the xref should show an exclamation point and the words "Needs reloading". Right click on the xref then choose Reload.

ReMark, he is asking how to make the dimensions update to the changes in the XREF which has already been reloaded.

Can dimensions be associated with XREFs? My test says they can but they break when a change is made in the XREF.

I think you have to manually edit the dimensions to the changes in the XREF.

Hello

What about the model space & layout space? (Object is in model, dimensions are in layout)

not clear for me, sometimes works sometimes no

I don't really know what this is based on either, but did you check DIMREASSOCIATE in both xref and master file?

  • 1 year later...

Had this issue with xrefs and dimensioning in (paperspace (not my idea)).

All you have to do is issue the DIMREGEN command. Not sure why this even exists. It should automatically do it.
