dwld
Hello all! I hope you guys will understand me. English is not my main language. I work with electricalconstruction in buildings and i hope you guys can give me a solution on a task. Is it possible to do a script that insert sockets and switches after i have measure the circumference in a room? Depending on the cicumference in a room. The script shall insert xx numbers of sockets in the right place. The formula för sockets is cicumference/3,75= number of sockets in a room. Can i use excel to do the parameters? ReMark
How do you account for door openings in this magical script? You mean perimeter not circumference don't you? Is the perimeter of each room a single continuous polyline?
dwld
Yes remark, I mean perimeter. The perimeter of the room is a single continuous polyline. The door is included in the measurment. But we do not insert sockets in the door opening.
ReMark
How would the script know to skip the door opening?
dwld
I hope that cordinates can solve the problem? Pick two points where the door is.
ReMark
You couldn't just use the MEASURE command assuming your socket symbol is a block?
BIGAL
It sounds like it needs a few more rules other than / 3.75 what happens when this answer is at a corner you physically can not put in a switch, it would need to be moved a clear distance away. Do you then start again with the clear distance or max spacing ?
