Leader with one verical text frame line

I saw this on a drawing recently and I was wondering how it was done.

 

 

It was a leader to a multiline text note where there was a single vertical line at the leader landing that if it went all they way around, would have been a text frame, but it didn't

 

 

basically it was a vertical line at the landing the height of the text.

 

 

I can't figure out how this was done. if you choose "Frame text" you get the whole rectangle. This was just the one side.

 

 

(am I explaining this right?)
