SAM_R Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 I'm using AutoCAD 2008 and sometimes when I turn a layer off on an x-ref or freeze it the command line says it is off but it is still visable. Why won't it go away? This does not happen in all my drawings. Quote
whitemarlin Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Open the Xref and shut the layer off while in that current model state. Quote
wannabe Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Had this issue the other day. It appears that you need to use the turn layer off command in the express layers toolbar. Just select the item in the xref as if it were a part of the drawing you're using and not an xref - it should only turn that layer off and not the whole xref. Please report back with your findings. SAM_R Posted December 17, 2008 Author Posted December 17, 2008 I have tried all of the ideas I have been given but none of them have worked. Quote
Raggi_Thor Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Is it possible for you to post the two drawings here? Quote
SAM_R Posted December 17, 2008 Author Posted December 17, 2008 H08098BKG.zip H08098P3.zip Here are the drawings. The area I am having probles with are the round lights in the Vestibule. Quote
mugshot Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 try to opem the the xref drawing in other file... edit and save... go to your drawing and reload it???? hope it will work. Quote
LifeoRiley0 Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Have you tried regenall instead of regen? Quote
smorales02 Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 the funny things, is that when I think of REGEN I automatically assume REGENALL, thats why I just said REGEN in my previous post. OP could've had a quicker solution if I would have just used the right words... Stupid Me Quote
