ollie Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Hoping the community can point me in the right direction here: I'm trying to create dynamic blocks, problem is i've been out of cad and into programming for a while now so i'm rather rusty. The task at hand is a door block that scales up proportionally on both the x and y axis without increasing the width of the actual door itself. the door recess would be the changing factor. Thanks, Ollie. Quote
dbroada Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 I'm not sure I understand what you mean but it sounds like you should be using stretch rather than scale. Quote
MaxwellEdison Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 I agree with Dave. Typical design for a dynamic door block usually has a linear stretch for the opening, a scale action on the arc representing the swing, and a seperate linear stretch for the frame to match the wall depth. There are also a few tutorials available on line. Such as those shared in this thread. Quote
Bogbadbob658 Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Could you upload a sketch or drawing showing exactly what you want. Then we may be able to help. Quote
lulumara Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 I think he's doing a dynamic block of a door at 1:1 when you insert it to the wall you can change it to what size (scale factor) you intent to make. Correct me if I wrong just made a comment. But the last part can't figure it out? Quote
