LBUG42 Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Does anyone know if you can convert text to 3d solid for rendering, and if so can you direct me to a tutorial. Quote
Cad64 Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Just use the TXTEXP Express Tool to explode the text. You may have to do some minor editing to the exploded text to create closed polyline outlines, but then you can EXTRUDE or PRESSPULL the text to create solids. Quote
David Bethel Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 I wrote an autolisp program a loing time ago that makes 3d text ( my font ) and upper case only. It was easier than constantly trying to convert SHX text. -David Quote
David Bethel Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 It has A->Z 0->9 and a double quote of all things. ( Don't ask me why I included that ) -David BLOCKTXT.ZIP Quote
Teeds Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Amazing I was pondering this exact question this morning and figured I conld find the answer here! I pop in and find an answer to the question on about the third click on the site! One item of note ... I tried to search using the term "3d Text" and vB indicated that the search terms must be three words. Thanks again ... i just used it on a TT font and it worked very well. Quote
