Applying Points of Contact for Revit

Recommended Posts

Posted

Recently our company switch to AutoCAD/Revit MEP 2010 and we've been loving the piping system.

The only problem is we don't use any of the same equipment that Autodesk provides. However we do have full 3d models of the actual parts we use. The only problem that presents is these 3d models dont have any points of contact so our flow stops whenever the piping enters new equipment (It's pumps and filters for the watershape industry). We do have full specs on the equipment so we do actually know how the flow is affected by the equipment.

I read online about the file format for the equipment and it said it came from Inventor, and I was wondering if that meant we had to purchase yet another Autodesk program?

Great thanks to any help in advance
