Hi,

This is my first post. We are working in fastners and Bolts. Part of the assignment is to be able to create the thread note. Now I have a general idea of what goes where, as in, I can understand what its calling out. My problem is that I can manually draw the symbols in the notes which are time consuming and not a clean as I would perfer. Is there a character list in AutoCad to make my notes clean? The symbols I am drawing, expoding, moving and scaling to make one note...Please tell me there is a simpler way.

Thanks in advance

Use MText. It has a feature that allows the user to insert symbols.

What kinds of symbols are we talking about?

Like counter sink, bore the odd ones that give you the specs on bolt holes.

Not sure where you might find those.

I think a lot of those can be found by looking through the symbols list. Others you may need to create yourself. I'll do some digging around later today (going on three hours of sleep at the moment) and see what I can come up with.

I Found Them!!!!! They are Already in AutoCad. But when doing your Note Change your font to GDT and the lowercase letters are symbols used in Thread Notes.. C-Sink, Bore, ect... Thanks Y'all :)

I have a modified RomanS.shx that has a Centerline symbol at %%150, plus a bunch of other symbols and even roman numerals.

It's in the attached zip.
