lodom1965 Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 I'm using Autocad 2004 with LDD. My text style is set to Standard with simplex.shx as my font. When I select add static labels and select a line, the label is gibberish. I have tried different fonts but have the same results, gibberish. Quote
CyberAngel Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 If I recall, the formatting of a line label is controlled by an internal setting, not the current style. I would look in the Settings box. What do you mean by "gibberish"? Does it look like a foreign language, a string of symbols, or a bunch of pound signs ("###")? If the last, it means the result is longer than the space allowed by the formatting. Quote
lodom1965 Posted June 15, 2011 Author Posted June 15, 2011 Thanks for your help. The gibberish is a combinations of characters and symbols. Quote
CyberAngel Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 Does this happen in one drawing, one project, or all drawings? Does the gibberish have the proper number of characters? Have you changed the line label formatting or installed a service pack recently? If you can't tell, I'm kinda grasping at straws here. Quote

Coosbaylumber Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 If you are using the automatic line-bearing tool, it freaks out whenever a POLYLINE is chosen for update. Explode and handle one by one then. Worked only one time on a UG pipeline, then had to explode it all. Wm. Quote
