Squirltech Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 If you have Microstation you can do a SAVEAS to a DWG. I think Microstation also has an EXPORT feature that will let you EXPORT to a DWG (not sure on this one) Also, AutoCAD 09 will reference a DGN file. Quote
Premiere Posted October 28, 2011 Author Posted October 28, 2011 Thanks for the quick reply. Only thing is now when I use "dgnattach" command I get the following message "This DGN file does not contain any models that can be attached into this drawing". Quote
CNatka Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 dgnattach is the command to attach the file as an external reference. Same result happens when you issue command for other type of 3D files that can be attached to the drawing. In case of 2D file either it gets attached or not and a kind of message is popped up if the file has some problem. If the content is not supported to be attached then this kind of message is generated. A better diagnosis can be provided if you attach the file which is causing the asserted message. -CNatka Quote
SLW210 Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Did you try _IMPORT then select DGN then browse to the folder and select the file? Quote
envisioncad Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Here are two youtube video tutorials showing how to go from DGN to DWG http://www.youtube.com/user/envisioncad#grid/user/EDE6E9862D04B749 HTH, Bob Mecham Quote
