Unselectable OLE

I have a friend experiencing an issue with certian drawings only, where he can not select an OLE he is running AutoCAD 2004 on windows 7.

Anyone know how to get it selectable again?

Turn on FRAMES?

doesnt appear to be a command in 04, I don't think its the frame anyway but if theres a similar command in 04 let me know.

You have 2012 and your friend has 2004. Open the file in 2012 and try resetting OLEFRAME to 0. Then save it back to 2004 file format and see if your friend can do anything with it.

Make sure the OLE is not on Defpoints layer.

Check the IMAGEFRAME variable.

Right-Click and choose selectable.

Save down to R14 and reopen.

is there a way to set it so that ole's created in newer versions default to an oleframe setting of 0 ?

You could set it in your ACADDOC.lsp

I think your friend should be able to use DWG TrueView 2012 and reset it himself.
