Hi,

I have been adopting a linetype scale system for CENTER & HIDDEN types that works perfect on one drawing but not in another.

Here it is:

Globally,

Measurement:1

MSLTSCALE:1

PSTLSCALE:1

CELTSCALE:1

LTSCALE:1

CENTER lines are scale 0.1 (works fine in all drawings and in both 1:30 and 1:4 viewports)

HIDDEN lines are scale 0.3 (work in one drawing but failed in the second drawing in both 1:30 and 1:4 viewport)

Setting the HIDDEN lines to 10 works with most other drawing.

I want to know first of all why this setting of 0.1 CENTER and 0.3 HIDDEN works on one drawing and not on another one in spite of the general settings set alright.

Regards and thanks,

Nicolas.

0.1 & 0.3 seem like they'd be very small dashes, but I guess that's beside the point. Are both drawings using the proper linetype definition file (ie is the Acadiso.lin file being used for an Imperial drawing?)

I believe that hidden line being 3x times greater than the center line and in at least one of the drawing it is visually acceptable. In the second case, the hidden line is 100x greater than the center line and that seemed odd through again in that case, it is visually acceptable. The drawing is in ISO given that measurement is 1 or is there another way to check this. As to acadiso.lin, I don't know but I have not touch those files.

Loading or reloading linetype definition from acad.lin in a ISO drawing will cause it to display 25.4x smaller than the same linetype from acadiso.lin.

Posting a sample of each drawing may be helpful diagnosing the problem.

How do we know the linetype source is acad.lin or acadiso.lin in a metric drawing?
