Can't create anything related to C3D

Hello,

I just started working at a new firm and installed C3D 2011 on my new office computer. Anytime I try to create a surface, alignment, line labels, etc it won't do anything.

For example, I tried to create an alignment and it gave me this in the command line: "_AeccCreateAlignmentEntities"

I have 2 years of C3D experience at my last job and have never had this happen. A coworker also has this same problem on her computer. However, another co-worker doesn't.

Sounds like you are opening in vanilla AutoCAD. You could try _OPTIONS>Profiles and reset the profile. Do you have all UPDATES? You may need to reset the path in your Civil3D icon. Could be an IT issue, maybe it wasn't installed properly.

Copy your icon on the desktop click once and look at the properties this next is out of box for 2012 edit the label

"C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012\acad.exe" /ld "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012\AecBase.dbx" /p ">"

The > is start civ3d with metric template, /p "Autocad" is start in autocad mode.

ps I have 3 icons Autocad civ3d & a custom just easier than playing with work spaces.
