avaninecommuter Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Hi all, I have a path shape that curves through the property, and I would like the hatch (which are just 60x60cm squares) follow the curve of the path instead of being applied like a pattern (just orthogonally). Is this possible? Thanks, AC Quote
MSasu Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 I’m afraid this isn’t natively supported by AutoCAD. Please check the work-arounds proposed in this previous discussion. Quote
Dadgad Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 You should try using the ARRAY command, with the PATH option. Quote
SLW210 Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 You should try using the ARRAY command, with the PATH option. Not happening with AutoCAD 2011, only 2012 and up. Quote
rickh Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 if you want to array along a path, I wrote a routine to do so for those of us still working in the past... http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?64844-Array-along-arc-spline-pline-etc. granted, I'm no lisp pro, but it works. As far as what exactly you are trying to get for an end result, I'm not too sure. If it is like the link that MSasu provided, that kind of patterning will always have the problem of widening on the outside turn and narrowing on the inside turn. Quote
