guys, please help. I'm currently using auto cad 2000 because it's required in our class. When I make circles or move or objects there are no image guide. like when I make circles only the lines are there I still have to calculate what the diameter is rather than by simply looking how big the circle is. or when I'm connecting objects, It's very hard to connect complex objects by moving them because there is no guide to where the image is suppose to be when the mouse is at a particular place. please help me. so delayed in my work.

You shouldn't be 'eye-balling' the size of a circle. The user is prompted for the radius. There is an option however to input a diameter. In other words...type a number that is accurate.

You should also be using OSnaps when moving objects. You have a better chance of accurately placing your geometry when utilizing this feature.

Thank you very much for the reply. I know, circles was just an example. What I meant was in some instances where I need to connect complex figures it's very hard to identify the coordinates.

Why are you connecting by coordinates? What kind of drawing is this?

ReMark, first of all thanks for the reply! and to clear things out I just wanted to know why was there no pre image guide when I move and drag objects or make circles. and about the me eyeballing since everybody told me to just drag this and that because it was faster I assumed it to be correct. And I want to know how to activate the guide image thing just to get a preview on how it looks like. so sorry for the confusion.

You should have followed paul's suggestion yesterday re: Dragmode.

Command: DRAGMODE

Enter new value [ON/OFF/Auto] : A
