pesky problem with profile

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am trying to create a dynamically linked profile that is generated from a specific marked point in an assembly. I can create the corridor, 3dorbit the model and use ‘create profile from corridor’ but the profile is not dynamic and I have heard it said that solution is “too much work”. In an effort to appease those using this assembly it would be ideal if the following could be done.

The perfect solution:

1. Use existing alignment and create a profile from the EG surface

2. Create a corridor with the assembly using EG profile

3. Have EG profile automatically display ‘a dynamically linked profile’ generated from a specific link within the assembly.

[if the assembly is modified, the profile would be updated]

Any and all help, thoughts and ideas are appreciated - image of assembly below

thanks,

Phil
