Hey Guys, not sure why I'm having trouble using the blue "path" layers polyline path to loft the profiles and form the c-clamp.

Let me know if you see something I can't find. Thanks in advance.

Your path is not tangent continuous.

Understood. Definitely poor geometric construction technique.

THANKS A TON JD for responding so quickly on a Saturday. I reconstructed the polyline several times with different methods and failed, used the tan-tan-radius circle at that point to make a continuous angled line segment and it eventually worked after trimming. I then wasn't able to JOIN the two polylines to make one polyline, and I couldn't see why of course. So I had to make a new layer and trace the two lines to finally make a joined polyline for the path successfully. The loft eventually worked and looks great!

I took an introductory AutoCAD 2D class last year at a local community college that used the G-W Learning AutoCAD 2012 Basics textbook. The intermediate and advanced classes for the upcoming semester(s) conflicted with my work schedule, so I am studying independently AutoCAD 3D with the G-W Learning AutoCAD 2013 Advanced textbook, then plan on taking a Global E-Training course over the summer with US CAD, and hopefully take the certification test(s) by the end of the year. Let me know if that seems a good route, and any tips or suggestions you may have.

You may be seeing a lot more from me, as I get stuck throughout the drawing problems in the textbook. This is my first thread post on the Cad Tutor site, so I don't know for sure how everything works quite yet. I notice your standing and credentials, plus reading through other posts your involvement and how much help you provide to others. If necessary, I may be able to donate to you and/or the website for your future time and help if that is acceptable/welcomed/possible. Hopefully I am okay in saying this, if not I apologize if I'm out-of-place.

Thanks again, have a great rest-of-weekend!
