spinecad Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 I am making my own concept car such as attached .dwg file. I would like to ask a help especially to the car designer expert if don't mind. This is the side view. The front part of the car is not finish yet. So, how to draw the front part of the car, the curve, start from point A to point B and to point C? Thank you conceptcar.dwg Quote
iskalipsi Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Try this PL(polyline)> click point A> A(arc)> S(second point =which is your point B)> then click to point C. Quote
spinecad Posted March 6, 2013 Author Posted March 6, 2013 Try this PL(polyline)> click point A> A(arc)> S(second point =which is your point B)> then click to point C. I following your instruction. The car looks weird. Quote
spinecad Posted March 6, 2013 Author Posted March 6, 2013 I found a reference to my concept car. The front part of the car (from point A to B and C) is such as as the below image. Quote
JD Mather Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 I think you will need a more modern tool like Alias Automotive, Autodesk Inventor or Fusion 360 or SolidWorks for a design like that. Students can download Alias Automotive or Inventor for free http://engineersrule.org Anyone can get Fusion 360 for free (Search Google for Fusion 360 Beta). Quote
iskalipsi Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 I think you did not click point B as your second point. And base from your reference pic. you must have a bumper so the car won't look wierd. Quote
