Dana W Posted April 27, 2013 Author Posted April 27, 2013 There are several free apps that take you through using w8, they are very helpful and they don't take long. I am used to not having the start button since the w8 interface is a start screen, just start typing and it is found. Good thing that one wasn't a snake. I guess I gotta go read the manual. Can't believe I've been sitting on my hands and missing the simple stuff like that. I was talking about the Windows Help search line up above there. That thing is hopeless. Quote
Dana W Posted April 27, 2013 Author Posted April 27, 2013 I am having issues with AutoCAD LT 2009 running on the new machine after all. When I open the properties dialog for AutoCAD while in the 'applications' tab of Task Manager, it tells me I need to set the program up to run in Vista SP2 mode. I tried it, and it made me test it that way. No differences. Then it marks the program name with one of those "!" in a yellow triangle with a "Incompatible Program" label next to it. Other Weird things happen too. The Window control buttons don't function at all. I have to right click and min, max, or close from the pop up menu. and when I use the zoom wheel, the center of the cross hair pops to a spot about 3 screen inches away and exactly 45 deg to the southeast from where I am looking, and proceeds to zoom to that spot instead. The same thing happens when un-zooming. It is nearly impossible to keep a zoom target centered on the cursor. What's with the double word wrapping at the ends of the post lines in here? I just noticed it. Quote
