I was wondering if it's possible to turn snap off on a set of layers whilst keeping it on for others?

Thanks for the link MSasu but it's not what I'm after. I still want to see the objects on a layers but not snap to them.

Although it was quite amusing reading with the 2 members having a go at each other over very trivial things.
