trilok2047 Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 What is the concept and differences between associative and non associative hatch, dimension etc? Quote
dbroada Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 associative makes them dependant on some geometry, non associated keeps them the size you made them. check it out by dimensioning something with both associative & non-associated dimensions then stretch the object. One dimension should change, the other shouldn't. Quote
trilok2047 Posted May 6, 2013 Author Posted May 6, 2013 how can i make my dimension associative and non associative??? Quote
ReMark Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Just curious as to why you would not want your dimensions to be associative all the time. Quote
PotGuy Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 (edited) Say if you manipulate one of the ends of a dimensions and stretch or squeeze it. Note the dim changes. If you unassociate, then that dim will not update. This is a bare bones example of how associate works. As metnioned earlier, changing certain parameters will result in a change in something using associate. Change perimeter of geometry hatch is using = hatch changing to new boundary of geometry.
