spinecad Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 Can I create my own custom command? If yes, how to? Thank you Quote
ReMark Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 Want to give us a hint (as in the name of this command) or shall we just guess? I'll go first. UNEXPLODE Now it's your turn. Quote
spinecad Posted May 23, 2013 Author Posted May 23, 2013 Want to give us a hint (as in the name of this command) or shall we just guess? I'll go first. UNEXPLODE Now it's your turn. I do not understand what is meant by your above question. What I meant by a command is such as line, arc, spline, extend, trim, extrude, revolve, etc, which you be able to type inside the command box such as attached image. Quote
Cad64 Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 What task do you want your command to perform? If it's something simple, then maybe you can do it yourself, but if it's something complex, you will need to ask someone in the Lisp section of the forum for help. But the first step is explaining what you want your command to do. Quote
ReMark Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 What command do you want to create? Details appreciated. Quote
BIGAL Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Oldfart OBJECT is LINE DELETE and FILLET with ARC of RADIUS TANGENT to line deleted Quote
MSasu Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 For sure, as stated above, for a precise response will need to have more details from you. Anyway, there are 4 solutions to define a new command inside AutoCAD: AutoLISP VBA (Discontinued, but available as enabler. Also will need some extra code to run as command.) ObjectARX (C++) .Net API For simple solutions may check also the scripts - successions of commands. Quote
ReMark Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 And don't forget macros. They are basic but effective. Quote
MSasu Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Based on OP's previous started threads were he/she is asking for advice on construction of complex curves, I'm wondering if is really looking for a user defined command or the question is in fact about a custom entity type? Up to my knowledge, custom entities were possible only by ObjectARX technology. Quote

DODGE Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 One can never quite tell what is wanted when requests are vaguely worded. Example: "Help, my car won't start." Funny you should say that, couldn't crank my baby over this yesterday morning, then to finish off the day, got a speed ticket for my trouble. Dodge Quote

dbroada Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Hey flat tyre Just roll it so flat spot is at top ! I have a camper van I haven't used for 3 years. There's a good chance I could roll it and get the flat to the top. Quote
