Can we colour the designs done in isometric,in CAD?:)

This could be done in Impression, which is free from Autodesk, assuming you have the time.

Otherwise you can use hatch, or draw faces and go from there.

Obviously easier to just draw in 3D solids if you need much of this (making some general assumptions here).

I am able to hatch (using ANSI31) and apply a gradient hatch to a square drawn in isometric. But you say you can't? I too am using 2009.

In this case a picture is worth a thousand words. I can't think of a reason why you can "colour" some parts of the drawing and not others.

I guess the OP doesn't want to provide us with any more information (too bad) or has solved the problem himself.

If it is a Hatch that you are after, they are known for being quite picky. Granted, I have never done isometric drawings myself - but questions like Are all the lines really joined up? I assume still apply? If there is holes anywhere, the hatch won't be created and you'll get a error message - do you get an error message? What does it say? Is it really a Hatch you are after?

"BOUNDARY DUPLICATES THE EXISTING BOUNDARY"..THIS IS THE ERROR IT IS SHOWING......

N WHEN IM SELECTING A CERTAIN PORTION ,THE WHOLE PAGE IS GETTING COLOURED LEAVING THE PLAN FROM WHICH I MADE THE ISO.....

the second problem indicates to me that you have non-closed lines. Everything needs to be closed. If you use Polylines you can use Join or Pedit->Join to get them properly closed. Otherwise you need to go through every crossing and make sure they lines actually are intersecting or join.

The error message I have never seen before..
