Default Questions using Trimble TSC2

Ok I am new to the whole GPS side of surveying. I have a Trimble TSC2 with all of the survey information from one of my job sites on it. It has all of my structures, road elevation, etc. So my question is how to I get the points off of this thing. Its not like any of my other data collectors, and i don't see any export as option. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I feel like an idiot not knowing more about these things.

Thanks

I have connected it to the computer, and synced it and found the txt file but autocad ldd 2009 says "no points transfered from source" when I try to import the txt file that is. Is there a conversion that I need to do or a export method?

Are you using Survey Controller on your TSC2? If so, it doesn't store data in a TXT file. I believe everything is in a JOB file. You can export points to a CSV file, if that's what you are trying to do. That's what we usually do. Our field guys typically dump JOB, DC, and CSV files to the server.

In the survey software, on the data collector, find the Export option. From there you should be able to, as sinc said, export to .csv, .txt (some can), etc. Then just transfer it over to your computer and load into LDD. With 09, I don't know if you can in LDD, but in C3D, you have SurveyPro (I think that's the transfer program). With it, you can dump the data collector and convert to pretty much any format.

Do you have Trimble Geomatics Office installed on the computer? That is how we always downloaded points. It is a very useful program to have if you are using Trimble equipment. You just create a new job, or download into an existing one. The interface is very easy to use.

On the collector I have SCS900, and on my computer I have SCS data manager, Office Synchronizer, acugrade office, terramodel. I am not to familiar with this type of data collector but thanks for the help everyone.

Ah, when you said Trimble TSC2 I assumed you were running trimble software. I don't know about SCS products, but you should try uploading from the collector to the desktop software, then to LDD. Also, can you post the .txt file you were trying to load? There might just be something wrong with the formatting.
