Autolisp needed for Mech & Elec Take-Offs

Hello,

I've been given the task of doing take-offs for Mech and Elec drawings. I've got an old version of autocad 2004 with none of the fancy tools. Does anyone have a LISP that I could use to select an area and list what's in there?

For example: How many power sockets, data points, switches etc. I'm pretty sure they're all standard blocks and layers.

Thanks a lot!

Stevie

Lee,

I've got caveman edition! No express tools available.

Beside that , you can not run a lisp routine with your cad version (AutoCad LT ) Can you ?

Tharwat,

When I registered I was using AutoCat LT as a trial, so you are correct a lisp routine would not work. As i've stated in the origional post I am using Autocad 2004 without any of the express tools. That's why I think I need a lisp

Why not install the Express Tools?

I'll try and download the express tools from one of the links via google. Unfortunately, it'll have to wait till tonight because the firewall at work restricts everything! I'm surprised I can get on here! Hopefully that will work tommorrow, I was trying to look for a quick fix via a lisp routine as i've got a few for other functions and they work quite well.

Thanks anyway

The Express Tools should come with your AutoCAD 2004 installation, there is usually an option to tick during the installation process determining whether they are installed.

This program may also help.
