Madison Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Attempt#1: I'm having a problem importing a .csv file into a .dwg projected in State plane.. My .csv file consists of PNEZ and the points are in Lat/Long. When I try to import the points they will not plot into the .dwg in the real world.. Does anyone have a better approach for importing files projected in Lat/Long into an drawing projected in State plane coordinates and have the data plot in the real world automatically??? Attempt#2: I also tried exporting the file (lat/longs) using the C3D's Spatial Data Format option under the File Menu and importing the .Sdf file into the state plane designated drawing.. That worked great, the points came over as Civil_Schema points, HOWEVER, none of point# or elevation(z) information that I need was imported. I basically have a bunch of points plotted and dont have any descriptors.. Does anyone know how I could export/Import an .Sdf file and maintain all the point specific data??? Thanks!! Quote
BIGAL Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 If your points are lat/longs then they are bearings not XYZ points, you need to read using a lat/longs option. I am sure Civil3d has an option but I have never had to do it, else convert your lat/longs to XYZ there is free programs out there that should do it start with your local surveyors board. Quote
