You can't edit a code block in-place but, if you click the code button while in edit mode, you can edit the contents of the code block.

Hmm, there doesn't appear to be a setting to prevent this. I agree it would be beneficial to not allow guest access to that data. I will investigate. You should have the ability to login anonymously. If you log out and login again, you should now see a checkbox in the login form. That's really annoying. It looks like there's no translation for colour tags in code blocks. That seems to be because code blocks now rely on automatic syntax highlighting (which we don't have for LISP right now). I think the only thing to be done at this stage is to strip out the colour tags - sorry, I didn't see that one coming.

It's possible to do this in-browser using the developer tools But, I will make a "dark" version of the default theme available in a few days for those who like to work at night!

There's no syntax highlighting for AutoLISP out of the box, however the API does support Common LISP but I'll need to take a deep-dive to work out how to implement that. It's on my to-do list. The structure and links from the main board page are the same as they were on the previous software. Not sure what you're referring to. Correct. This is another item on my to-do list and requires that I learn how the templating language works for this board, so I can't promise it will be there in the next couple of days but it will return as I know it's super-useful.

Yep, there's a lot of background activity at the moment, which should settle down after a couple of days. Keep me posted.

    Bookmark address

Yep, if you just remove the "forum.php" bit from that old URL, it will work fine but it's probably a good idea that I add a redirect for that address as it will likely be saved in a few bookmarks. Thanks.

Each topic has an icon, either a circle or a star, to the left of the topic title in the topic list. A star means you contributed to the topic and a circle means you did not. If the star or circle is blue, it means there is new, unread content in that topic.

    Page not found

Yep, there will likely be an increase in "not found" errors in the short term for the content that has been archived but once the site has been re-indexed (after a week or so), that will go down and the topics will no longer show on search results pages. I'll certainly keep an eye on those errors to see what people are searching for, and can't find.

    Page not found

Hmm, that's an inevitable consequence of archiving older material. Any topic that hasn't been updated in the past 10 years is now unavailable. It would have been nice to keep everything but I had to make some difficult decisions in order to keep the forum running smoothly. I appreciate that many older LISP routines may still be usable today so if there's anything specific you think should be recovered, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Nice idea! Yes, that can be done by creating a new theme. I've added it to my "to-do" list.

Yes, the group settings will inevitably need tweaking as we work out how best to manage things. You should now be able to see the Report Post button. Thanks for the heads-up on the other points, I'll review those later.

Yep, that's right. I think the idea is that the editor acts more like a work processor (blast from the past) like Word, where that action is normal. As you say, just as in Word, you can suppress the space between paragraphs using Shift+ Enter. Personally, I quite like that I don't have to rethink each time I move from Word to forum but I'm sure many will disagree.

Actually, that's a feature Two interactions = two notifications. Fortunately, the notification settings are pretty comprehensive.

    BIG NEWS: We're upgrading

I realise it's a big shock to the system, particularly since we've been with the old board for such a long time. The truth is that there was no choice but to make a change - the old software is now considered "legacy" and is not supported on modern hosting servers. Yes, we could have upgraded to the latest version of vBulletin but, in truth, even the latest version is looking a bit dated by now. Plus, Invision Community provides many new opportunities for our community that I haven't talked about yet. So this wasn't a frivolous choice - I've been researching and planning for a couple of years. All I can say is, give it a chance. Hopefully you'll feel a little better about the change after you've had a little while to get used to it.

    BIG NEWS: We're upgrading

True, signatures can be configured in Invision Community but I thought we'd start with a clean slate and a better reading experience and see how it goes. If members are still yelling about their lost signatures in a few weeks time, I might be persuaded to restore them. But I must admit, I'm liking the current arrangement.
