    Text to Polylines

I am having an object laser cut and need to have text. I have read that express tools does the job, however I don't have it on my CAD. I reinserted the CD like everone has said, clicked the Express Tools, the my computer says it can't load the file. Is there a simple way to convert text Polylines?

    Converting Cad duct solids

Hi All, Ive been aggressivly lurking here for some time now, but finally i have a problen that cant be solved by mere lurking alone. Our company has been supplied a set of Cad Duct layouts to be amended/standardised against the rest of the drawings in the project. However we donit run Cad Duct at all. Does anyone know if/how to convert the Cad Duct solids and layouts into objects that can be altered in Auto Cad? I know you can adjust length etc by dragging grips. Unfortunatly were required to almost compleatly reformat the drawings (whoever was subbed in originally had some pretty "interesting" drawing composition :S ) Thanks in advance for any help. _SN_
  7. Hello! Not new to Autocad but new to Cadtutor....I have receive a drawing choc full of wipeouts (arg!). What's worse is the wipeout frames are acting as necessary linework so I cannot just delete them through Qselect. Is there a way to convert wipeouts to polyline regions? They are on many different layers with differing linetypes so I want to retain all those characteristics. Thanks!
  8. Hi. I had a request. Could someone convert my cod from Basic to lisp. I wrote you such a small thing in VBA. But I would like to work in VBA Lisp because not everyone has. And here I do not know LISP. If someone gave advice would be super.

    pdf to dwg/ dxf

i know you'll groan at the very thought of it. I have read many posts and scoured the internet. Why won't ACAD LT 2008 register the dxf's I've created in Autodesk Design Review 2010 (from pdf's) so that I can underlay them? Don't Autodesk support dxf writer anymore, i can't get the link on autodesk com to work, other links just forward me to Autodesk Design Review 2010. Is it really so hard? (Judging from the posts, I’m not alone). I'm trying to avoid the various converter programs, surely there's a way to convert pdf to dxf or dwg 'inside' autoCAD & Design Review? What do you all do? Is it LT 2008 that is prohibiting this? Any advise greatly appreciated.
