Ok I have run into a strange problem and have tried everything to fix this issue but so far nothing. I have tried various iterations of PICKADD, PICKSTYLE, really all the "PICK" commands. I have also double checked my Selection Opitons with another computer that is working correctly and everything matches, so i am at a loss as to what is causing this. Anyway the problem is I can use a drag window to select multiple objects, but when I try to deselect with a drag window+SHIFT it will only deselect one object at a time within the window, where as before it would deselect everything the within the windows selection. I am using AutoCAD 2013 and this is driving me crazy it only started the other day and I think I accidentally enabled something but am not sure what. This started after my AutoCAD "freaked out" and I had to close it so I think I will have to reinstall it but i just want to be sure it is not something simple first. If you need anymore information I will give what I can.

I went on vacation and came back and found that some settings have been changed on my computer, caused by the guy who used my computer and he said, "The program was just wigging out." BS! Anyway. I am currently running into the problem where i will select 1 item by simply clicking on it, and when i go to select a second item, the first is then deselected. I can click and drag and select multiple items that way, but that doesn't help me when the items and on different sides of the drawing and there are other lines and what not in between them. I am also aware that i can hold shift and select the second item, and all is fine, but that is not my desired operation. I have been working with Autocad for almost a year under the notion that i can just select multiple items by clicking on them all individually and would love to have this operation reinstated, primarily for ease and convenience, which increases productivity. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello all long time lurker here but I don't post much. I am trying to write a lisp that zooms to extents, selects all and then deselects everything within the extents. I need to do this since I'm working on some dirty files with a bunch of hideen junk that I need to purge out. I've got the lisp to zoom to extents and selecting all part down and I'm stuck on the deselecting everything in the extents of the drawing part. Thanks in advance.
